TRUST AND SAFETY FESTIVAL INDIA 2025

Centre for Social Research partnered with the trust and safety forum to host the inaugural India Trust and Safety Festival in Fall in 2025. Being the global majority on the Internet India has been on of the leading voices of online safety regulations over the years. The India Festival brought together Trust and Safety practitioners from Global South’s  thriving tech policy industry, civil society, academia and  government to dive into the most pressing online safety harms and issue’s of the times.

She co-edited Online Safety 3.0: Empowering & Protecting youth with Stanford University scholars on youth, social media, and mental health, sat on three national task groups on youth internet safety, and advises Meta, YouTube, and Yubo.

Tami also serve on the Tech Coalition, Family Online Safety Institute (FOSI), and Digital Wellness.

Karuna Nain is Online Safety Expert with two decades of exeperince in the intersection of Online Safety, Policy, Government Affairs and Communications. She Consult with Tech Compaines and Non-Profits on their stragegy policies and technologies to make the internet safer. She has served as a Director, Global Safety Policy at Facebook and Co-founded StopNCII.org an initiative to combat non-consensual image abuse. Karuna is also actively in involved in ideating and building the alliance up, with her expertise.

Swati Bhise, 
Producer and Director,

Swati Bhise has had a carrer in the creative arts spanning Indian Classical Arts, Media Talk Shows, Arts in Education, Women’s Empowerment, Choreography and Film Production for the last 30 years. Swati is the CEO of Cayenne Pepper Productions and wrote, directed and produced the Hollywood film “The Warrior Queen of Jhansi”  and was the Executive Producer/Associate India Producer for the 2016 film “The Man Who Knew Infinity”.  Swati Bhise is dedicated to empowering “the Warrior Queen” in all, inspired by the Warrior Queen of Jhansi.
