The workshop was very well attended by our internal folks across local and apac markets including marketing, comms and product. It was interesting to understand the landscape in India and how it's rapidly evolving currently to keep pace with the country's progress in digitisation. The CSR team was able to give us a very good view across diverse topics that impact women safety issues with some clear examples from recent times.

"It was my good fortune to collaborate with CRS India in a research project in 2022 on children’s digital citizenship. I conducted this project on behalf of the Centre of Excellence for the Digital Child, Edith Cowan University (Perth, Western Australia), supported by the LEGO Foundation. CSR India brought their deep expertise of the research topic, digital citizenship, to the project which involved play-based children’s research roundtables. They provided an outstanding team of research-support staff who effectively handled the logistics of running these roundtables. CSR India’s experience and expertise ensured the success of the project and, most importantly, meant the children in the project had a really wonderful learning experience."

Centre for Social Research with Twitter India is tackling the menace through conducting workshops across the country. CSR India is a cohort of intellectually stimulating people. While we cannot quickly unwind the sexism that drives abuse and harassment against women, we (youth) can redesign and change the digital spaces that allow misogyny to thrive. We should always remember that a better digital world starts with us, so be kind to people when you are online. In the future, I hope to see a world where women will lead a life free from fear from the internet.”

"India has the cheapest internet available for the users but today's youth still struggle in Digital literacy. For women, it is important, not only for survival, but to help with the bigger causes like their equal representation, to be heard, gaining emotional and financial stability etc. is the need of the hour to improve their existing conditions. Freedom to utilise online spaces by youth, especially women, not only challenges the misogynistic and patriarchal tendencies of the society but also improves the society from the inside out."
