On 8th July 2019, Centre for Social Research (CSR) in collaboration with German Embassy, New Delhi, had launched a unique Office Assistant Training Program at their Training Centre at Plot-98, Sector-44,Gurugram.CSR, is one of the leading Women’s Institutions working in the field of social action since 1983. The launch event was graced by the presence of H.E. Mr. Walter J. Lindner; German Ambassador to India, Dr. Ranjana Kumari; Director, Centre for Social Research,Ms. Theresa Moosburner; from the Political and Protocol Department, German Embassy, New Delhi, Col. Anil Pokhriyal; CEO and Executive Board Member of Management & Entrepreneurship and Professional Skills Council (MEPSC), Mr. Rajesh Malhotra; Managing Director of Greenwood Developers and member of Ba’hai, Col. K. K. Singh; Director, Olive Heritage Education And Welfare Society Gurgaon and Mr. Rahul Mukand; Policy Advisor ofNew Zealand Embassy, New Delhi. Additionally, on this occasion more than 100 participates gathered, including Office Assistant batch-1 trainees, other potential candidates and ex-trainees from Women’s Security Guard Training Program joined us to celebrate the launch event.

Centre for Social Research (CSR) commenced their Skill based training program since 2018 with their Women’s Security Guard (WSG) Training Program, through which they successfully trained 84 trainees. After the positive outcome from the WSG training programme, CSR established their Centre for Excellence, named as Women’s Skill Development (WSD); WSD conducts various training programs for women and girls from the marginalized section of Delhi/NCR with the aim of economic empowerment because CSR believes economic empowerment is an important step towards the holistic development of the women. Through their Skill Based Training Program, our trainees have exhibited remarkable change by achieving decision-making autonomy, confidence and an overall personality transformation.

This 45 day skill-based training program will be a golden opportunity for women and girls from marginalized sections of the society to upgrade their skill set and become equipped to enter the workforce. In regards to the curriculum; CSR has affiliated withMEPSC; who will be responsible for providingthe assessment and certification to the trainees at the end of the training session. The program is comprehensively structured to provide knowledge to the traineessuch as application of computers, handling operation and usage of various office equipments, knowledge on daily office routine activities demonstrate soft skills and maintain a healthy working environment.The 200 hours of training are divided into, 108 hours of Practical, 72 hours of Theory and 20 soft skills training. CSR has also appointed a trainer, who will further go through an intensive training as per the MEPSC guidelines.
