The highpoint of this whole quarter was media initiative. Now, we have the web based course which is unique, this is the first attempt in the country done by any agency to train women leaders. Not only this, but it is also the first time where parliament members were invited. We have group of 12 members who went to the whole course to the extent that they were impressed.

OUR NEW WEBSITE
As we complete 25 years, CSR is recognizing the importance of technology in our society. Internet is one of the major mediums influencing our society today. Work in progress: the site has been upgraded with a brand new design and updated content. We are working towards using modern tools of multimedia, networking, interactive forums, and online help to support our cause of gender justice and equality.

CSR AND WPC MEET PARLIAMENT
On 22 July, 2009, CSR together with Women Power Connect organized a conference on the pending Women Reservation Bill. The theme of the conference, “A Dialogue in Democracy with Members of Parliament”, was centred on the Women’s Reservation Bill and the issue of women’s political participation. MILLENNIUM DEVELOPMENT GOALS
Only six years from now, poverty and hunger are reduced with 50 percent, all children go to school to complete primary and secondary education, men and women are equal, children have access to health care and so do all pregnant women, spreading of HIV and AIDS will be halted, and there is environmental sustainability and global partnership.

TRAINING WOMEN
As a part of the UNDEF project, we have created an online course titled ‘Training women in leadership and democracy‘. The course seeks to encourage and support women who aspire to become political leader. We seek to foster a group of women empowered by an understanding of the political process and equipped with the ability to apply this knowledge to their local contexts. We have made an attempt to provide our users with quality content, keeping in mind the vastness and varied nature of Indian politics.
