CSR Annual Day 2006

Interactive Session on Women Victims of Violence

Centre for Social Research (CSR) celebrated its Annual Day on the 28th of April 2006. The programme was divided into two sessions; the inaugural and business sessions. In the inaugural session, the first ever police manual for Police Trainers on the issue of violence against women and trafficking was released. The title of the manual is, "Facilitating Change: Restructuring Gender Relationships". Alongside this, the Annual Report of CSR for the year 2005 was also released. The title of the annual report was "STOP VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN: FROM WOMB TO TOMB". 

The theme of the business session was Women: Victims of Violence, in which there were discussions on three important issues: safety of women at public places; trafficking of women and children; and safety of women at the workplace.
